Medication Aide Training Program
(Meets South Dakota Regulations)

Offered every other month. Most training will be done onsite at Avera Education & Staffing Solutions in Yankton, South Dakota. Alternate sites may be used, depending on demand.

Medication Aide training consists of two days of classroom instruction with lecture and practice demonstrations. The third day students work individually with the instructor and complete a written exam and mock medication pass.

Class size is limited to a maximum of 12 students. Registration is on a first-come basis. A minimum of 4 students is required to hold class. Avera Education & Staffing Solutions reserves the right to cancel a session and will make every attempt to reschedule. Avera Education & Staffing Solutions will notify facilities of changes in the schedule by phone or fax.
